How To Choose The Right Debt Consolidation Service

Uncategorized Comments Off

Even if someone is meticulous with his handling of money he can still land up in debt. A medical emergency or an unexpected layoff in the company can make all your plans go haywire and it might soon be difficult to meet your financial needs. The important thing is for you to know how much of the pressure you can handle by yourself and for how long and when it is time that you need professional help. A general indicator as to when you need professional help is when you are constantly worrying about how you will pay your next bills or if you have already missed the payment of one or two previous bills. Don’t wait for the situation to go completely out of hand because then even the debt consolidation service can provide you little help.

Once you know that you need professional help, the next thing that you need to do is find the right debt consolidation service for your needs. Now this is not an easy task and you must be ready to slog it out to find just the right service. The best place to start would be within your circle of friends and family. Normally most of us would know someone close to us who has gone through a similar patch. You need to talk to that person freely about your needs and try and find out what helped them and what did not. Getting to know the facts from someone close to you can be of immense help in deciding on your selection of the debt consolidation service.

However, if you do not know anyone who availed of such services then the next place to look for is the Yellow Pages. You will get a whole host of them. Call them up and find out the details. Also ask them for a list of references from former clients. When you talk to the clients find out if they were only helped with their existing debt or were they also trained on how to remain debt free even in the future. Such inputs should be part of any package offered by debt consolidation agencies.

Once you have short listed two or three agencies, get appointments for each of them, visit them personally and then take a final call. You got to put in this extra effort to be sure that you get the best help that is on offer.

Goals For Life How Far Ahead Can You See

Uncategorized Comments Off

When trying to plan life goals it’s often difficult to see where the road eventually leads to as it seems so far away. This article takes a look at a way of helping to deal with this often-encountered problem and overcoming it.

I find that it often helps to create a mental image - in terms I can relate to - of any given problem. So for really big projects it pays to have a big image! One I use for visualising life goals is that of a mountain. You are stood there at the foot of the mountain looking at the summit: how do you get there?

It’s tempting to think that you can just set off and, by sheer determination and single-mindedness, reach the top all by yourself. This may be true but for every thousand that set off this way perhaps only one will reach the top. How then do you get there? Well, firstly ask yourself this - just exactly how do you go about climbing a really big mountain?

Let’s think about it. Maybe you have seen documentaries on the subject, maybe not. However, if you think about it, there’s really only one way it can be done: in stages. That’s right - base camp one, base camp two and so on until you are ready to go for the top.

How does this relate to long-term goals? Simply put, it is much easier to break a journey - or a planned life goal - into planned sections rather than take the whole thing at one go. Also, if only one goal is set - in our mountaineering model the summit - then it is impossible to assess how the rest of the journey is progressing.

With only this single goal in sight, two main problems generally occur. The first is that, due to the long time scale - maybe twenty or thirty years in some cases - the goal becomes lost, or changed beyond recognition, or simply forgotten about in the general day-to-day bustle of living. The second is that, with no milestones along the way. the long-term goal can continually shift or become warped or fizzle out due to lack of any measurable achievements.

Thus the setting of intermediate goals is crucial - not only to mountain-climbing success but also to the achievement and realisation of any long-term objective. In any project I undertake I always set short-, medium- and long-term goals. Not only does this let me know how the project is going generally but it also lets me know that I’m on track with my current goal.

Now I wouldn’t blame you for thinking that this way of life is restrictive and maybe even obsessive. I wouldn’t blame you if you thought you couldn’t understand how anyone could live their life with a continuous line of goals stretching away from them into the future. However, I would blame you if, by not learning the simple - and it is simple - process of structured goal-setting you let your potential slip away from you!

It isn’t restrictive - goals can be changed or adapted within the overstructure of your long-term plans. There is nothing wrong with changing your interim goals - as long as YOU change them - not the other way round. Maybe there’s a better way up the mountain than you first thought!

Any goal in life should be have two criteria that are important to recognise. The first is that the goal - maybe the overall life goal or any of the interim goals - is achievable. If it isn’t - and only you can decide if it is or not - then it’s pointless setting it. It will only frustrate and demoralise you. On the other hand, it can’t be too easy either! However, goals that are too easy are preferable to impossible ones - the too-easy goal will soon be identified and you can then toughen it up some!

The second is that the goal should be measurable. How does it move your overall plan forward? How much money has it made you - and is it enough? Has it come in on time - or on budget? If you can’t answer these types of question by assessing your goal then you haven’t got it right and the effectiveness of your goal is reduced.

To summarise this short article, try to remember the following: don’t set a long-term goal without breaking the project down into several measurable, achievable goals; it is much easier to break the project down into chunks you can handle. Do set goals for any enterprise that you consider at all worthwhile and this will soon become habit. Maybe it’s not the coolest habit you could imagine having but, when you stand at the top of your personal mountain it could well seem the most valuable!

Shyness Cure Secrets

Uncategorized Comments Off

There are drugs available in the market that offer a shyness cure or social anxiety, or social phobia relief. But some experts do not offer medication but a systematic way of dealing with things with much more courage and positive thinking than you normally have. Shyness is not a disease that requires a drug or a pill to cure it. It is not even a character defect that must be defect that needs some repairing. Trying to cope with shyness will need positive thinking.

Some people say that shy people should immediately mingle with groups of people to overcome their fear of social anxiety. This means exposing yourself in situations that you have feared your whole life. Doing this might produce complications in your psychological fear.

Social anxiety can be a big hindrance and leads to discomfort in children, or even in adults.

Treating social phobia must be gradual or rely on Systematic Desensitization. This means being exposed to your fear, little by little, and conquering it step by step. This system involves the discovery of your fear, and breaking that fear by doing activities one step at a time. This will gradually move you to an easier step, and later to the most difficult.

Listing down situations which cause your shyness or social anxiety is the first step in applying Systematic Desensitization. This list must be arranged from the less difficult on to the most difficult. In that way, you may be able to triumph over your fear little by little. It will give you a better chance of moving towards a solution to your deeper social anxiety. A simple list or an outline may give you a bigger help to progress on social anxiety.

Give yourself a couple of weeks to deal with each situation in your list. Make a deliberate point everyday of getting into a situation in which you may practice a skill in your list. Trying to practice a particular skill that you have little by little everyday in a couple of weeks - this may lead you to the next step on your list and so on.

Though this technique does not work perfectly every time, since life does not place everyone in the same situation and experiences, this technique might still help you out some other time.

Here is another tip: no matter if a situation might seem difficult and more challenging, try to increase the time you have been spending in that particular situation. Increasing the difficulty means requiring more effort for you to overcome social anxiety. Try to challenge yourself and be braver. This may allow you to achieve a very smooth Systematic Desensitization.

Another shyness cure: try practicing your communication skill with your everyday store clerks who are always ready to put up a good conversation. This will help you out in almost any daily activity like buying candy, a magazine, or anything you might pick up. Making conversation does not necessarily mean it has to be a long one. You can always end up having a conversation whenever you like.

Another advantage is, you do not have to see these people again immediately, and there is no reason for you to be upset if you have said anything might be dull. Just do not try this out if there is a long line of other shoppers waiting behind you.

Discover 3 Creative Visualization Techniques That Really Work

Uncategorized Comments Off

I know these techniques work because I, or the people I know, have had direct experiences of results coming out of putting these creative visualization techniques into practice.

“Treasure Map”

The treasure map technique simply involves you creating a tangible picture of what you want.

You can either draw it, if you’re good at drawing, or you can cut out pictures from magazines, newspapers, photos and create a collage of what it is you want to manifest.

Make it as vivid, colourful and realistic as possible. Place it somewhere you can see it and meditate on it every day.

I’ve personally experienced tremendous success with this technique.

My first experience with it was during my ‘O’ level exams, this really big exam in Singapore, where I come from. From my semi-photographic memory of an ‘O’ level results slip (which I had gotten from a glance of my friend’s the previous year), I drew an almost exact replica of it, only with my name and the results I wanted on it.

To cut a long story short, it was almost uncanny when I compared the actual results I got with the “treasure map” drawing I made a while ago:

Expected results:

English: ‘A-2′

Malay: ‘A-2′

E-Mathematics: ‘A-2′

Science (Physics/Chemistry): ‘B-3′

Geography: ‘B-4′

Biology: ‘B-4′

Principles of Accounts: ‘F-9′ (I can’t help it, I really hated this subject!)

The results I got:

English: ‘A-1′

Malay: ‘A-1′

E-Mathematics: ‘A-2′

Science (Physics/Chemistry): ‘B-3′

Geography: ‘B-4′

Biology: ‘D-7′

Principles of Accounts: ‘D-8′

The lower the number, the better the results. Even though I failed 2 subjects (no regrets, I accept full responsibility for my actions), my overall score is good enough for me to land the diploma course I wanted in a polytechnic. I am living and breathing proof of that success right now!

Of course, my results are influenced by other factors (including how smart I studied, my mood when I was taking the examinations, distraction while I was doing my visualization work for this, the effectiveness of my prayers), but a 3 out of 7 success rate, or if you want to consider those that exceed expectation, a 6 out of 7 success rate is simply amazing!

I also practised this “treasure map” technique for my results with the “image streaming-creative visualization hybrid” technique which I shall describe below.

“Image streaming-creative visualization hybrid”

As I had said it above, I used this image streaming and creative visualization hybrid technique to along with the treasure map technique to help me manifest the results I wanted. And it did.

How this technique works is that it employs more of your brainpower into your visualization work.

You see, when you create a mental image, you’re using one part of your brain, that is the back part of your brain that deals with visual stimuli and images (the ‘occipital lobe’).

As you combine your mental images with mental impressions of sound, smell, touch and even taste, you’re creating neural connections with the different regions of your brain that deal with these stimuli. The more you practise, the stronger these connections become, the more vivid and real your visualization is, and the more effective you get at it.

But what if you add another dimension to it? One very crucial element of image streaming (the brainchild of Dr Win Wenger of ‘The Einstein Factor’) is to describe out loud to an external listener, whether it is your listening friend or a tape recorder. You must describe your mental impressions and images out loud to qualify what you do as image streaming.

When you describe it out loud, you connect with the language regions of your brain, as well as the memory part of your brain, and the “sentence-construction” part of your brain, and many more. This brief explanation of mine is too simplistic to capture the very complex process actually involved.

The methodology of this “Image streaming-creative visualization hybrid” technique is discussed below.

The most powerful creative visualization technique ever.

I call it the T3000 technique, which stands for “theta total transformation” technique.

There are variations of my self-devised method that go by other names, among others, “electric manifesting”.

Here is how it goes -

1. Select what you want. Pick only one goal at a time. Write it down. Start with something relatively easy for you to accomplish or obtain. A good example is the one that I used this with - exam results. It must be something that you have to and can work for, as well as something that is also partly dependent on chance. Be as specific as possible. All the conventional rules of goal setting and/or creative visualization apply here.

2. Imagine an ideal situation in which you’re attaining the goal that you’ve stated. Can you imagine a tangible experience of yourself getting what you desire? If it is something abstract, like a 15% increase in your IQ, try to make it tangible, by imagining an IQ test score, and imagining situations where your heightened IQ is proven, such as being able to answer teacher’s questions or finding quick answers to puzzles, etc. Again, the conventional rules of creative visualization (use all 5 senses, make it as detailed and realistic as possible) apply.

3. Instead of just having a “virtual reality” experience inside your mind, describe out loud your inner perceptions. What do you see, hear, smell, touch or taste? Describe them. In as much detail as possible. At first, it may seem awkward, and you may not be able to find words to describe what you’re perceiving inside, but a little fabrication will help. As it is with any other skill, this image streaming and creative visualization hybrid technique will improve with practice.

4. You must also describe your perceptions out loud to an external listening device; it can be a friend, a tape recorder, or the microphone of your computer (with audio recording software ready or perhaps, a speech to text dictation software).

Here’s how I did it for my ‘O’ level exam results -

I described, partly from memory, all that I see, hear, smell or touch from the train station to the school hall where I collect my results slip. I described the locations I passed through, the smells, the sounds of passers-by, cars, the people I may encounter, the environment, and finally, when I imagine myself extending my hand to receive the ‘O’ level results slip from my teacher (whom I described also), I described out loud, and repeated, affirmed, a few times, the specific grades that I wanted.

To help you warm up with this powerful creative visualization technique, here’s one good exercise you can do -

1. Take any object, picture, scene or just about anything that has a considerate amount of detail.

2. Observe it, whatever it is you chose, for 5 - 10 minutes. Really absorb the stimuli through all your 5 senses. Details. Details. It’s all about the details. Notice the colours, the shapes, sizes, any patterns, how the different elements connect, contrast or complement with each other.

3. Look away from that scene for 1 minute. Then go back to look at it. Now press record on your tape recorder or get your listening friend again and, with eyes still open, describe the scene out loud.

4. Close your eyes. Describe the scene again from memory. Don’t worry if you can’t seem to remember everything.

You’ll find that this exercise improves several things at once -

i. Your visual memory. I don’t know if you’ll eventually develop a photographic memory after consistent practice; I haven’t tried it to that extent before.

ii. Your memory in general.

iii. Your linguistic and descriptive skills.

iv. Your visualization ability.

In truth, this is only a glimpse of my actual T3000 technique.

T3000 is a system that involves you in a holistic way. It is not just a creative visualization technique, it is a goal setting and goal getting technique as well.

It will cover everything from initial conceptualisation of your goal to the inciting “trigger” event (just like in the movies) that then leads you to the course of action that you should take to the actual attainment of your goal and any post-goal matters after that.

Memory Development We All Can Do It

Uncategorized Comments Off

Remembering the innocence of your childhood, the freedom that you had in playing all day around and the chocolates and candies that you use to eat are certainly part of your wonder years. This is when the crucial stages of memory development takes place. But how are these images accessible to you even in ones adults’ years when people struggle how to memorize things. Well these images are accessible to you through the process of memory development which includes both the use of long term memory and short term memory.

Obviously these images are stored in your mind from which you can access the large database of your brain. But this database is infinite, as unlike computer systems that have standard data storage, the brain has an infinite amount of data storage where we memorize things. In fact the study of the brain which is called neurology has found out new mechanisms of how memory functions in the brain.

Memory is the ability to store, retain and recall information, your ability to do this is based upon both your long term memory and short term memory. These three processes are necessary to follow each other in succession for efficient memory development. Unlike other organisms humans have a more complex brain structure which enables us to accomplish complex tasks through the learning that we have inherited. This learning is accessible to you through the information that was stored in your mind which is crucial to memory development.

It might just seem a split of a second to remember someone’s name. But your neurons have responded to the immediate demand that your brain had made. But that split second is the result of complex memory functions that your brain has undergone to retrieve that name. Let’s zoom in to these memory development processes and make a schematic study of them.

Neuro science has discovered that processes of short-term memory and long-term memory (episodic memory) as the main types of memories. Now while retrieving your friends name as it was discussed above, does your brain utilize short-term or long-term memory? Certainly-long term memory as the name of your friend that you are trying to access has been constantly revised through your brain which has led to the name being stored in the long term memory.

With this description of the mechanism of memory development it becomes important to elaborate as to how the short and long-term memory actually operates. Firstly your senses absorb all the physical stimulations that you receive in terms of sight, smell, tactile and other senses. In fact the brain registers the sensory information for just 200-500ms. This registration of sensory memory in the brain is crucial so as to differentiate between the different stimuli that the brain receives.

Photographic memory is in fact registered through the sight and its ability to retain itself depends upon how long you have paid attention to the stimulus. Once the sensory memory is registered in the brain it depends on how much attention an individual pays to the sensory information so that now it can be registered in the short term memory which will enhance memory development.

The short term memory stores information if sensory information has been rehearsed by the brain - a key element of memory development. The information that is stored is only for 5 seconds. Individuals don’t feel the effect of the information that is remembered as this information is not properly rehearsed.

The memory capacity of short term memory is 7+/-2. This means that short term memory can store more than 7 items at one time in its storage or 2 less. To be more elaborate, recent neuropsychological research has revealed that humans can store up to 5 items in their short term memory. If adequate attention is still maintained for a few minutes more then the information will be retained in the long term memory which would lead to memory development.

Once the stimulus gets retained in the long term memory one has a better sense of remembering the name which could be an audio or visual register. This transition of short term memory information into long-term memory takes place in the hippocampus, which is a region in the brain that regulates memory development. The memory development capacity of long-term memory is infinite. In fact if one was to tell the entire life story the entire lists of names and events that have occurred will depend upon how the person is able to retrieve it.

Therefore memory development is the most dynamic aspects to configuring an effective mind. It is the basis through which individuals gain consciousness without which one won’t live a positive and happy life.

Positive Thinking Is A Powerful Tool

Uncategorized Comments Off

Positive thinking is one of those intangible ideas that doesn’t work for everyone - i.e. not everyone is taking advantage of this powerful tool in their lives. Some people just have to be negative in their lives or they are not happy. Try being in a positive frame of mind, and you must do it everyday, not just once a week. People who do try to be more upbeat and happy tend to lead more productive lives.

The Law of Attraction is often associated with positive thinking. You attract those values and feelings that you send out into the universe. So if you spend your life being negative and mean to other people around you, that is what you will get back. Feelings of depression and isolation usually are good signs of how you live your life. If you don’t make an effort to attract good fortune into your life, and not just money, but good will and love, you won’t ever have the chance to enjoy all that your life has to offer you.

A good example of this is hating your job and thinking your coworkers are all idiots. This leads to a negative though process and now you hate going t work every day. The stress will start to eat away at your subconsciously. You may get sick or feel depressed. Start every day by looking in the mirror and telling yourself that you will have a good day and you will do your best today. Be your most positive self and watch the change all around you. When you are blind because you are so negative, you miss opportunities to better your situation. But because you are too busy wallowing in self pity, you never see that door open that will lead up the ladder of success.

Goal setting weighs heavy on positive thinking. You set a goal to return to school after being out for ten years or more. The more you sit and think that you can’t do it, it costs to much money, or you probably wouldn’t be able to keep up all keep you from attaining your goal. Thinking positively will help you through some of the rough spots. Believing in yourself and your abilities will keep you on the right track. It is tough sometimes to be the oldest one in the college class, but you will shine as a n example to others that it can be done no matter how old you are. You set your goal and you kept plugging away until you achieved it.

Many people don’t like to set goals for a number of reasons. These include lacking to vision to see attaining the goal, fear of attaining the goal, and not being able to forgive other people for the way we are. Make sure you can see the steps involved in attaining your goal. Take small steps if you have to, but know where you will end up. As they say, the journey begins with the first step. If you are fearful of attaining the goal, talk with others in the same position who have attained the success you are after. These can be some of your best resources. Forgive yourself for blaming everyone else for your problems when in reality, you brought them on yourself. This one is the hardest. Give yourself time to work through each of these and bring forth a new meaning to your life.

The subconscious mind is an all powerful stepping stone to positive thinking. There are things in your subconscious mind that you are not even aware of being there. The subconscious mind is usually receptive to the free flowing thoughts from your conscious mind. Keep these thoughts happy, carefree, tranquil, and upbeat to keep your spirit in harmony and in good cheer. Keeping negative thoughts only adds to stress, illness, and the end of some relationships. Even when you are sick and don’t feel well, tell yourself that you are healthy and vibrant. Don’t let dark thoughts invade this time. Erase worries and problems and spend time meditating on feeling better.

Once you teach yourself to be optimistic, it will take over all by itself. You will get up every morning and be ready to face the day with a new vigor. You will attract good fortune and people who want good fortune as well. Your subconscious mind will be sending happy thoughts to your conscious mind and you will feel refreshed and ready to hit the floor running. Any goals you are trying to attain will seem a little closer each day and not as hard to accomplish or reach.

An Investment Principle With Guaranteed Positive Returns

Uncategorized Comments Off

Everything you do is an investment. It doesn’t matter whether it’s eating, watching TV, working, or spending time with others, you’re investing your time, energy, and/or material resources. So the natural question that flows out of this is, “What then are the best investments?”

We know that some investments have negative returns, some have positive, and a few simply break even. We obviously want to invest in things that have positive returns. But how do you evaluate what will bring the most positive returns? I’ve found that the best way to evaluate investments is to follow one simple principle: Direct the amount of your investment to the amount and timeframe over which it will pay you back. In other words, don’t put much time, effort, or money into things that have only a small, short-term payoff. But put a lot of your assets into things that pay off big over the long-term.

And what is the longest term we can plan for? We often think of retirement planning as a long-term planning process. And it is. But we really need to think of eternity first. You’ll spend a lot more time in eternity than you will in retirement. So the first thing we need to do is follow Matthew 6:20, where it says to “lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal.”

To invest in eternity, we need to invest in two areas. First and foremost is our relationship with God. The priorities here are salvation, repentance, obedience, prayer, and furthering God’s kingdom (to name just a few). Second, we need to invest in other people. After all, the only things you can take into heaven are your relationships with God and other believers.

By focusing on these two areas first, it gives new importance to how you spend your time, energy, and material resources. And best of all, investing in these areas will always bring positive returns — guaranteed.

But this principle works just as well in evaluating material investments. This is where retirement investing comes into play. Investments such as 401ks, IRA, Roth IRAs, and such are the first place to start. Then you move into other long-term investments, such as real estate, CDs, etc.

But this principle also impacts other areas. For instance, the food you eat should focus on long-term benefits, not just on what fills your belly right now. The habits you develop should bring positive results in the long term, not just for today (smoking, for instance, might give you some pleasant sensations in the short term, but major health problems in the long run).

Sin, in fact, is often just perceived as a short-term investment. It pays off immediately in pleasure, power, or money, but the long-term payoff is very different. “‘You will not surely die [in the short term],’ the serpent said to the woman.” Invest in yourself, he directed her: “For God knows that when you eat of it [short term] your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” Most Christians know how that investment paid off in the long term. Our sins offer similar rates of return.

The things you spend money on daily should have a long-term focus, as well. Is the product you’re buying a fad that will have to be replaced in a few weeks? Or will it last for many years? The more you can spend money on things that last, the better off you’ll be in the long run.

This is a just brief look at the applications of this principle. Spend some time thinking about other ways you can apply it. Adjust your focus. Don’t live for today. Live for eternity. And invest for eternity.

Looking to Make It Big Avoid the #1 Success Killer

Uncategorized Comments Off

I recently had the opportunity to talk to radio talk show host Dave Ramsey. And Dave told me what he considers the biggest killer of success — debt.

“That sounds very wacky in a business setting, in particular, because going into debt is so normalized. But if you’ve had three finance classes in your life, you start to realize quickly that debt causes risk. In a sophisticated setting like the stock market, if a company gets too heavy in their debt load, their stock price goes down. The marketplace will devalue them. Why? Because their risk of failure overall is increased.

“The first thing an entrepreneur is going to think when they get a new idea is how they’re going to capitalize it. But I’ve got to tell you, if you look down at the two palms of your hands and look at the gray matter between your ears, that’s your capital when you’re an entrepreneur.

“Warren Buffet was profiled not long ago in the Wall Street Journal. He gave 10 tips to investors and business people. One of them was, very bluntly, to stay out of debt. When you don’t have debt payments, you have lower risk and increased cash flow. He’s exactly right!

“In the Forbes 400, the 400 wealthiest people in America were surveyed (and, by the way, 69% of them were first-generation rich). They were asked what the most important key to winning and wealth building in business is. Eighty percent of them said to get out of debt, and stay out of debt. Eighty percent! These are rich guys, not your broke brother-in-law who’s been to the Chamber of Commerce lunch once and has an opinion. When I talk to wealthy people, I find them, by and large, to have avoided huge amounts of fatal risk.”

And Dave Ramsey knows first hand what it can do. He lost everything when he over-leveraged his real estate holdings. He said, “At one point, I had over $1.2 million in 90-day notes with one lender. That’s putting a gun to your head and pulling the trigger. Of course, I didn’t know that. I was invincible at 24 years old. I was a genius. So, I got into too much debt and the wrong kind of debt, and then the bank was sold to another bank. They changed management, called in my debt, and I went from genius to idiot in one personnel change.”

Debt truly is a success killer!

Chosen for Such a Time as This

You are totally exclusive, privileged, and most excellent. Yes, I can call you that, even though I do not know you personally and despite the fact that you may not see yourself that way.

How you feel at any given time has nothing to do with how God sees you, and what He has to say about you. He said that you are peculiar; set apart from all the rest.

Are you saved? Then you’ve been called out of this world by Jesus Christ and set apart by Him and for Him. Together we are precious, living stones built up into a spiritual house; a royal priesthood chosen to offer up spiritual sacrifices unto God. (1 Pet. 2: 4-6)

That means that you no longer are to be influenced by all the ’secrets’ of this world. Do not be conformed to this world, but instead realize that you’re being transformed. Your spirit has been ignited by the Spirit of God. Now you need to tell your soul, which includes your mind, your feelings and worldly desires, to be renewed as well. (Rom. 12: 2)

Esther was the king’s choice to be his queen. Yet, even king’s wife was not allowed to come into his presence without being summoned at the punishment of death. When a decree went out that all the Jewish people, including herself, would be killed, it became evident to Esther that God had chosen her to be queen at this appointed time. If she had not been queen, she would not have heard the news firsthand and been in a position to do something about the problem.

She and all the Jewish people in the city prayed and fasted for three days. Then she went against all protocol to ask the most powerful king in all the earth a favor. Esther was willing to put her own life on the line in order to save her people from total annihilation off the face of the whole earth.

Now consider this: Esther had been chosen to sit at the king’s right hand as queen. Under threat of death, she went boldly into his throne room. The king, happy to see her, extended his scepter, the symbol of all his power, and she touched it. She then was able to ask her petition, which was granted to her.

And this: You were chosen to sit at the King’s right hand. You have favor with the King and, because of Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross you do not have to fear instant death in His presence. NO! You can come boldly unto the throne of grace to obtain mercy and grace in time of need. (Heb. 4: 14 - 16).

On top of that, you have also been proffered the scepter of all of God’s Power! Did you touch it? Did you accept it? Do not take lightly the awesome power in the Name of Jesus! It’s yours to use! It is the Power of His resurrection (Phil. 3: 10). It is the Name that is above all names, to which every knee must bow, whether in heaven, on earth and under the earth! (Phil. 2: 9 - 10) It’s not enough that He freely gave you His power. You must realize that it is yours, accept it, and use it for His glory!

You have been chosen at this time in history in this precise place to do His work. Do not look to the right or to the left, trying to find answers in world philosophies or religions. Neither allow yourself to be deceived by those who say that you can meditate a certain way and be guaranteed to receive riches, even by substituting your ‘god.’ Satan is out to deceive, especially those who are saved. (Phil. 2: 8)

Jesus contains the fullness of the triune God. And you are complete in Him, who is above all principality and power. (Phil. 2: 9 - 10) He is your Wisdom and your Power to overcome all things, and it is His good pleasure to show you the mystery of His will. (Eph. 1: 8 - 9)
